T. Clay Buck, CFRE has been in fundraising for over thirty years and has held just about every position from Development Assistant and Grant Writer to Chief Development Officer. He brings a unique perspective to his individual giving and fundraising communications consultancy having spent significant time as both a front line fundraiser and in leadership roles at prominent nonprofit consulting and technology firms. Clay’s passion and expertise is in individual giving, strategic and fundraising planning, and bringing a systems-thinking approach to improving the strategies, systems, and storytelling that impact effective and ethical fundraising. Clay is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and is also a certified trainer and coach. He holds a certificate, with distinction, in Philanthropic Psychology, is the creator of The Fundraiser’s Planner, and co-host of the #1 fundraising podcast Fundraising is Funny. Clay teaches strategic planning, fundraising, and storytelling at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he makes his home with two poorly trained Golden Retrievers who have mastered the art of the ask, especially at dinner time.
