The International Day of Peace (Peace Day) is observed around the world each year on Sept. 21. Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, Peace Day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace. In this spirit, the Center for Global Engagement (CGE) and Campus Ministry have planned a procession for peace and rededication of the Peace Pole.

Join us in walking from the CGE Patio to Samuelson Chapel as an expression of our commitment to peace. Faculty, staff, students and members of the community are invited to participate in a flag procession and attend chapel for reflections on peace, followed by the rededication of the Peace Pole in the chapel’s Rose Garden.
