The Immovable Veil of Black Disability

The Graduate School of Education, in collaboration with the Center for Educational Equity and Excellence, invites you to a virtual, thought-provoking lecture, "The Immovable Veil of Black Disability: An Introduction to Black Disability Threat Theory and Its Application to School Discipline," featuring Da’Shay Templeton, PhD.

Templeton will discuss Black Disability Threat Theory, exploring the intersection of Blackness and disability and how these identities contribute to moral panic in educational spaces. Join us for this critical discussion on equity, justice and systemic change.
